Member Contest #1

In the Members Area at Join Earth Green™.com we have a contest form that looks like this.

Originally we were going to create an analytical tracking method for household fuel consumption. This is where my boys step in and tell me not to make it too complicated. So what we ultimately came up with was a sheet that our members can put on a fridge to help encourage fuel conservation and pollution prevention. Our challenge to you is just to print out this sheet and put it on your fridge. See what happens.

Blake and Brandon have already displaced a few trips to the local grocery store on their motorized foot scooter (100 miles per gal). Dad would go, but I weigh just enough to where I would have to walk it up the 500 foot long driveway. Ok, maybe I way a little more than that. Now,...maybe they can scooter down to go get me some ice-cream... You can download the contest form here.

Fall City 2nd day

It’s amazing how much support and enthusiasm we’ve been getting from everyone we meet! What excites me the most, though, is that the service we sell can make a difference. The route we’re building in Fall City has grown substantially and we will probably need to hire some other hard working teens very soon.

Sales

Door to door going great! We just started Fall City, got lots of interest, and a handful of customers. Sales are going great, and things around here are about to get really busy! Note to self, remember to mention fruit trees/ sister company Suburban Orchard™.

Friends in high places.

The boys went out yesterday afternoon to get some clients. I think they had a very positive experience overall and were able to establish a foothold in one of the subdivisions known as Tibbetts Station in Sammamish. Mowing starts next week! They were both very excited about their first sale. It’s been fun coaching them. I think they presented themselves professionally and articulately. We will be spending most of today working on media and then go work on getting another mow route set up. Way to go guys!

Our first day, door to door.

The first day of setting up routes! It was sunny outside, but hardly anyone was home. Everyone we met with was interested in what we were doing and wished us the best of luck, but they all were satisfied with their own lawn service. The first family we signed up was very interested, and we start mowing their lawn next week. It was a great neighborhood to get started in and I look forward to continuing this week.
Time spent: 1.5 hrs.
